I have been passionate about fighting for equality for women as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I belonged to womens’ organisations and took practical steps to try and address the problems faced by women. Recently I have felt that once again I need to actually do something about the issues that still face women, rather than just express horror and get depressed about the things I see in the media and on social media. So I decided to start this blog.
I was born in New Zealand but have also lived in Fiji and, for a short time, Jersey in the Channel Islands. I studied law at university and have worked throughout my life in a variety of positions focussed on law, compliance and investigation and faced all the usual problems encountered by women in the workforce.
I have two adult children and a reasonably large extended family, many of whom live near me.
